Health Initiative
Al Mizan Temple #269 is deeply involved in advocating for Community Health within the Black community, focusing on addressing health disparities and promoting overall health equity. We implement a variety of initiatives, including health education campaigns, wellness programs, and community health fairs, which aim to prevent and manage prevalent diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Recognizing the influence of social determinants of health, the Temple also advocates for better access to nutritious food, quality healthcare, safe housing, and opportunities for physical activity. Through our efforts, Al Mizan champions the cause of community health, striving to create an environment where healthful choices are accessible and equitable.
